This presentation will:
Provide an understanding of the biological soft tissue space around dental implants.
Review bone and soft tissue responses around different implant designs and how this influences site placement.
Review research data looking at short and long term changes in bone and soft tissue levels and the implications of these changes on function and aesthetics
Review the differences in bone and soft tissue response to single and multiple implant placements.
Review the osseous and soft tissue responses to removing teeth and the implications for immediate implant placement.

Biography
Dr Andrew Dillon graduated BDSc from Melbourne University in 1981. He spent 6 years in private practice before undertaking further study, completing the one year Long Course in Prosthodontics at Melbourne University in 1988 and the degree of Master of Dental Science in Prosthodontics in 1991.
Andrew has lectured extensively around Australia and New Zealand to ADA groups and affiliated societies such as the Prosthodontic, Crown and Bridge, Aesthetic, Endodontic, and Periodontic Societies as well as numerous study groups and at State and Federal Dental Congresss. He is Course Convener for continuing education programs at the University of Melbourne. He is chairman of the New Horizons study group, co-founder of the Interdisciplinary Dento-Facial Study Club of Victoria and a board member for the Melbourne Seattle Study Club. Andrew is in Private Specialist Prosthodontic Practice in Toorak.
